Management Board of the Fund
The Management Board’s duties include i.a. development of the Fund’s action plan and financial plan drafts; selection of projects co-funded with our means; management of the Fund’s means; development of detailed principles of funding of the implementation of the tasks referred to in the Act; making decisions on postponement of payment dates and amortization of loans; supervision over the use of the funds allocated for the implementation of statutory tasks; cooperation with non-governmental organizations; submission of reports on the Fund’s operations to the Supervisory Board.
Małgorzata Lorek
President of the Management Board
She obtained her Master of Science degree from the Faculty of Management at the University of Zielona Góra and her PhD degree from the Medical University of Warsaw. She is a long-standing practitioner in managerial positions in healthcare, including serving as the Director of the National Blood Center, a budgetary unit subordinate to the Minister of Health, overseeing the organizational units of the public blood service in Poland.
Under her leadership, the public blood service in Poland developed, with the main goals being to ensure the availability of blood and its components for patients, to provide appropriate technical conditions in the organizational units of the public blood service, and to enhance the competencies and skills of staff at blood donation and transfusion centers. She actively participated in improving the quality of life for patients with hemophilia and related bleeding disorders.
She has implemented numerous health policy programs related to blood donation and hemophilia. She is also the author and co-author of scientific publications in the fields of management and public health.
Bożena Borowiec
Deputy President of the Management Board for Programme Affairs 
She graduated with a degree in social work sociology. She has 37 years of experience in the field of social policy and support for people with disabilities. She started her professional career at the Municipal Social Welfare Center in Dąbrowa Górnicza as a social worker. Over time, she was promoted to managerial positions, including director. In the 1990s, she was instrumental in establishing a system of jurisprudence for people with disabilities at the local level. Subsequent stages of her career included the position of Director of the Regional Center for Social Policy in the Silesian Voivodeship, where she gained experience in implementing regional strategies and programs. For the past six years she has served as Deputy Mayor of Dąbrowa Górnicza for Social Affairs, with responsibility for social assistance, health, education and housing.
